Nepal Transit and Warehousing Co. Ltd.
Nepal Transit and Warehousing Company Limited (NTWCL) is a fully undertaking enterprise of the Government of Nepal. The primary objective of this Company is to provide a range of transit-related services and facilities for the export and import of goods from Nepal to overseas countries. It was established on September 15, 1971 (Bhadra 30, 2028) pursuant to the provisions of the 1971 Transit Treaty between Nepal and India. Operating as the representative of the Government of Nepal, the Company delivers warehousing facilities and manages all activities associated with transit operations. The Company functions under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies, and is duly registered and operational in both Nepal and India in accordance with the respective Company Acts of the two countries. The Company's authorized capital stands at NPR 15M, with a paid-up capital of NPR 12.243M. The shareholding is held by the Ministry of Finance, the Office of the Comptroller General, and the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies. As of the fiscal year 2081/82, the Company's retained earnings amounted to NPR 631.7Million.
